Derek Reeves brings over two decades of experience working with leading companies across Asia and North America. Upon returning to New Zealand, he founded Eastbridge Creative with a clear mission: to grow and support world-class businesses in Aotearoa that can compete on the global stage.

Derek’s career includes leading large production and development teams, as well as launching three technology startups. These experiences have given him invaluable insights into the challenges and opportunities faced by growth-focused and technology-driven companies. His understanding of what management teams need to thrive is shaped by his firsthand experience of building and scaling businesses. Working closely with AI specialists through these ventures, Derek has combined deep business acumen with technical expertise to deliver projects that achieve tangible, real-world results.

To further his expertise, Derek is studying AI for Business at the Wharton School of Business, Penn State University. His approach to AI is practical and business-focused—he firmly believes business priorities should always lead, with technology serving as the vehicle to achieve those goals rather than overshadow them.
